Mentorship Program

The mentorship program is designed for all undergraduate Econ majors. This can serve as a platform for students to get career, academic, and extracurricular advice. We encourage you to use the mentorship program to navigate your Econ journey and make meaningful connections with fellow Econ students. Our mentors look forward to answering any questions you might have!

Brian Chen

My name is Brian and I am a Junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Business Finance. I’m currently pursuing a career in real estate, but I also have interest in asset management and equity research.

In the past I have interned at Morgan Stanley, Northwestern Mutual, and Pennymac. I will be joining Eastdil Secured (Wells Fargo Securities) for the summer. I am pretty involved on campus and stay active on board for International Students Assembly and as a family head for Taiwanese American Organization. I am also part of a few business/real estate clubs on campus. In my free time I like to cook, play golf, travel, and play poker. I also write a blog about economics/finance.

Feel free to message me any questions you may have regarding your resume, cover letter, recruiting, or anything in general. Feel free to connect with me via email or LinkedIn!

I’m Lena—a junior double-majoring in Economics and Spanish. I have a strong interest in entrepreneurship and human-centered design. After graduation, I hope to work in a field that combines my interests in human-centered design and languages.

At USC, I served as president of the Economics Association from January—December 2017. I’m also a member of Spark SC, an entrepreneurial organization whose mission is to inspire innovation, expose students to their creative potential, and connect makers across diverse communities.

In summer 2017, I worked as an intern in the President’s Office of the Rockefeller Foundation, the second-oldest major philanthropic institution in America. I’ve also worked at the Institute of Economic Affairs, a economic think tank n London, UK.

You can ask me about human-centered design, philanthropic foundations, or entrepreneurship. I’d also love to speak Spanish with anyone who needs a practice partner! I look forward to hearing from you! You can contact me via Email or LinkedIn!
